Log 3, Friday, October 9, 2015, 11 hours Description of Internship Experience The past two weeks have afforded me other opportunities in leadership within my department, school and district for a total of 11 hours. Each experience brought with it unique challenges and valuable experience. Several weeks ago, I was approached by the EC Director for our school system to create a document that tracks use of classroom modifications and accommodations for students with an IEP. In the past, our school system has not required documentation of how and when these were used but a recent incident at one of our schools brought to light this immediate need. After creating a document, I presented our new policy and procedure for documenting classroom mods accommodations at each grade level Professional Learning Community (PLC) meeting. I was met with some resistance at one PLC with several complaints about the tedious nature of the new policy as well as disgruntling over not wanting to use what little paper we are given for something one teacher felt was not related to instruction. Next, I became a member of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) team and participated in a monthly meeting. Much of the meeting centered on reaching out to students who have received a large number of behavior referrals to Choices, our in-school behavior plan. Reggie Bush made a lot of accomplishments while being a college athlete. Because of his skills, he was rewarded an amount of money. While Reggie Bush was playing at the University of Southern California, statistics show that the college generated roughly fifty-five million dollars. That’s a lot of money for one athlete to bring in. Every day we hear more and more stories about NCAA investigators and colleges being punished for â€Å"paying† players. However, college athletes bring in a lot of money. Therefore, they should get a percentage whether it is a small amount or a large amount. It will depend on the athletes’ ability. While some may argue that paying college athletes to play is wrong, college athletes have a marketable skill and sh ould be paid for their skill. Reggie Bush was one of the best running backs in college sports. He won the Heisman award and was named Freshman All- American. Adverse effects of global warming One of the major and immediate effects of global warming is the increase in the overall temperature in the earth. Conclusion Global warming is a major issue faced by all the countries in the world. The problem has to be curbed down, if not completely mitigated. In order to ensure that the intensity of global warming is reduced, the causes of global warming have to be eliminated. Since the major cause of global warming is the emission of carbon, hence the government, along with the private sector has to work together in order to ensure that the causes of global warming is mitigated, or curbed down in intensity. The initiatives taken by the government is effective and commendable. However, along with the government, the private sector also has to ensure the reduction of the emission of carbon, such that the issues of global warming could be reduced significantly.
